Obama's legacy 'driven by his delusion'

By Chris Groening

A Messianic Jewish leader describes some recent comments from President Obama's about his legacy as it relates to Israel as "delusional."

The president recently offered a glimpse into how he would want history to judge his presidency by emphasizing the U.S. recovery, his healthcare law, and his foreign policy. For example, he argued that his administration has brought new international respect for the U.S., saying: "We have put our international relationships on very strong footing."
Jan Markell, founder and director of Olive Tree Ministries, says that depends what international relationships are being discussed.
"He's on strong footing with Cuba and with Iran and with ISIS and with some of the radicals around the world," she clarifies. "I think his advisors need to apprise him of the world destruction which he has contributed to.
"Israel and some of the friendly Arab nations – such as Jordan, parts of Europe, parts of the world that are free – are absolutely terrified that the world's superpower America has seemingly abandoned the free world only to befriend tyrants and dictators. And this seems to be driven by his delusion."
Some of the GOP presidential candidates have been especially critical of Obama's foreign policy, arguing that the world is more dangerous now than when he took office. Markell couldn't agree more, saying the chief executive's "delusion" is totally shaking up and destabilizing the entire globe.
"I say it's paving the way for the anti-Christ," she states bluntly. "... Somebody has to pave the way for the anti-Christ, and I believe Barack Obama is doing that."

Obama's 'Jewish legacy'?
During an interview on an Israeli TV station, Obama advisor and confidant David Axelrod said the president told him: "You know, I think I am the closest thing to a Jew that has ever sat in this office. For people to say I am anti-Israel, or, even worse, anti-Semitic, it hurts."
Markell points out what she perceives as glaring inconsistencies between those words and the president's actions.
"It's Barack Obama who's going to demand that a Palestinian state be created," she tells OneNewsNow, "and it's Barack Obama who's trying to get an agreement with Iran, which has sworn to destroy and annihilate the Jewish State."
The president, she says, is "delusional" about his perception among citizens of Israel, pointing out he has only a ten-percent approval rating there.
"It's his narcissism that twists everything and allows him to only see what he perpetrates for evil as good," the ministry leader argues. "There's a Bible reference for that [Isaiah 5:20] that there's coming a day when all mankind will see evil as good and good as evil. But this is the essence of it, in my opinion."
Markell describes Obama as the most anti-Israel president in Israel's 67 years.
