America In Crisis Part Eleven

These are ominous times and the world is reeling from so many unprecedented scenarios that are filling the hearts of millions all over the world with fear and trepidation. : Our nation and the world are already feeling the wrath of God being poured out in this hour. If the word of God is true these days of darkness and times of judgment are only going to increase. Yet unlike the world we followers of Jesus Christ are not without hope. God told Israel to do four specific things and in the doing of them surrounded by death and destruction he would bring hope and deliverance.

God gave these four words of instruction to Israel as more than just words of comfort, no contained within them was a means of deliverance. The first thing we see is the land of Egypt was consumed with darkness but in Goshen where the Israelites were there was light in every house.

During all that time the people could not see each other, and no one moved. But there was light as usual where the people of Israel lived. (Exodus 10:23 NLT)

: The imagery evoked here and its parallel to our times could not be more vivid. There is a gross darkness covering our land and the world in this hour. Long ago prophets and Holy men of God spoke of these days and times. People everywhere are floundering around in the dark, afraid, wounded, and alone. Yet although Egypt was in total darkness there was light where the children of Israel lived. Saints of God it is imperative that we remember in this day the source of our life. Your very survival will depend on your relationship with God. He is the light we carry inside. It is also true that in the days ahead we the church of Jesus Christ will be the only source of hope to which others can turn in their hour of despair. Let them see in you the light of the world.

They were to set aside a lamb for a house.

1 While the Israelites were still in the land of Egypt, the LORD gave the following instructions to Moses and Aaron: 2 “From now on, this month will be the first month of the year for you. 3 Announce to the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each family must choose a lamb or a young goat for a sacrifice, one animal for each household. 4 If a family is too small to eat a whole animal, let them share with another family in the neighborhood. Divide the animal according to the size of each family and how much they can eat. 5 The animal you select must be a one-year-old male, either a sheep or a goat, with no defects.

: Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God who came to take upon himself the sins of the world. We must in the spirit continue to feed on Christ, as he is our life. When the world around us will be a cauldron of death and darkness, as we feed on Christ we are sustained and are a light of salvation to others in desperate need. Yet this also speaks a more practical word as well. Just as our connection with Jesus sustains us spiritually, he by that very connection will be our source materially as well. We will have food and shelter and his abiding presence in our hearts in the dark days ahead.

The heart that separates itself unto God shall be sustained in these days come what may. The time has come to separate ourselves as believers in Jesus Christ from the ungodly influences all around us. We like the world are surrounded by the darkness that the word of God predicated long ago. But we carry a light and vision in our hearts because the risen one lives inside us.
