The Eternal Sacrifice
Almost 2000 years ago a young man not quite 35 years old was arrested and brought before the magistrate of the age to stand trial. To give an account to the Sanhedrin of Israel for why he should be set free or pay the ultimate price. Which in there jealousy they needed a reason he should not be set free. This man had spent several years laying hands on the sick and healing multitudes in ancient Judea of their suffering and he had thousands of individuals raised up in an act of divine mercy and were willing one and all to testify of the Godly kindness he had shown them. Her laid hands on lepers and cleansed them from this plague from which in their day and ours there is no cure. Time would not allow me to bring all the witnesses forward to testify of the glory he by his kindness had changed their lives forever.
Just days before his trial and crucifixion a man named Lazarus who had spent days in a prepared tomb was raised from the dead by a simple command “Lazarus come forth,” a command which although dead for days he could not resist. Jesus stood outside the tomb and although dead, by Jesus’ command to come forth the former deceased individual had no choice but to obey the anointed Son of God. He rose from the dead a miracle so incredible it filled the hearts of his enemies with determination to try this Jesus with the intent to put him to death, a determination in which they succeeded.
The forces of Lucifer the architect of hell who had been the basis by which the leaders of Rome and Israel followed their dark source that was the charge against Adam by whose fall he was convinced the plans of the Father had been seemingly destroyed. It was and is still true today the determination of the prince of darkness to bring sin in all its forms to the head of man and corrupt Gods determination to create mankind in the image of God, instead his plan was to make life take on the nature of himself the fallen one.
Almost two thousand years ago Jesus Christ by his obedience to the Father and his death, burial and resurrection gave the human race forgiveness through the Father’s love and opened heaven itself to any who would accept the eternal sacrifice of Jesus Christ as their own. Thereby the faith imparted by Holy Spirit guaranteed to all who believe in Jesus’ sacrifice eternal life and a place with the Triune God forever.
